New paper: Evaluation of SMAP soil moisture over 34 core validation sites worldwide

This new study evaluates the skill of the surface soil moisture product provided by the new SMAP sensor over 34 core validation sites wordwide. The study was led by Andreas Colliander of NASA JPL, while our team contributed with upscaled soil moisture data measured at the HOAL Petzenkirchen supersite as part of the TU Wien Vienna Doctoral program of Water resources.
